We're Bros, we talk Games.

20 Aug August

This week we have our usual stars of the show being slightly behind schedule... My bad...

Hey everyone,

I trust you guys had a great week this week.

Yeah, that was bad, even by my standards.  But you know what’s good?  Gavin Dunnes’ music!  You should go check it out!

There’s a great little example of game theory I found online that is either very depressing or inspiring depending on how full your glass is: http://ncase.me/trust/Game theory is a fascinating area to look into.  If you have more interest in this area, you should look into Bruce Schneiers work, which you can find at:

Schneier on Security: Liars and Outliers

As for more games that we think successfully subvert Player’s expectations we can recommend the following:

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice on Steam

Speaking of IP’s that don’t get to have games made about them, there will no longer be a game based on Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy.  For what it’s worth I think that is something of a tragedy as it was a well written and conceived series with an excellent lady protagonist.

There is a lot of exciting stuff coming out very soon and a lot of it we can recommend looking into it.

Final Fantasy 15 will be coming to PC at some point and from what I hear, they’re going to make it a more definitive version.  Cool says I.

Rock of Ages was a very funny game that needs to be experienced to be understood.  That part where you hurl yourself into David’s nutsack is something I will never forget.

Games Workshop is re-releasing Necromunda.  Honestly, I’d like to see a videogame version or a D&D version:

More Age of Empires, from Relic, the makers of Company of Heroes and Dawn of War.  You had my curiosity, now you have my attention.

Age of Empires Insider Program - Age of Empires

And yes, Civilisation is coming out as a brand new boardgame!  The original was pretty good and this newest version looks more fun and far more interesting.

ReCore being re-released sounds like a lot of fun and Paul will be deep diving into this one as and when he can.

Paul was also very happy to see rhythm death bug simulator 2017 coming out on Xbox 1 as it will give him more reason to link his smart lights to his Xbox, again.
